32 weeks (a day early)

I really shouldn't title my posts. They are very random and generally include about 4-5 topics...

I took my 32 week pic a day early because I took a shower today. And washed my hair. And blow dried it. It had been a while. I had a baby shower this afternoon. The shower was lovely, but more on that later. I'll do the weekend chronologically after the belly pics.

If you are thinking that this pic isn't a belly pic, then you'd be right.

My mind is so scatterbrained. Bill paying has been hard for me lately, as I can't remember anything! I took my belly pic, then went to look back on it. Wait, Megan...you have to actually see the belly in the mirror to get the picture. So, step back, and try again.

There we go : )
It is hard to describe how huge I feel. And how miserable I am now. But you'll get why after I describe the weekend I have had!

I had a bridal shower on Saturday morning. It was for one of my oldest friends, and it was at my mom's house. It was lovely, and it was wonderful to show Paige (and my pregnant belly!) off to high school friends and their mom's.

That night was their couples shower. David had to work, so he stayed home with Paige and worked out of his home office, and I went to the shower alone. It was amazing and so wonderful to visit with so many old friends. But I was really exhausted at the end of the night.

Woke up Sunday morning, and we were out of waffles. This is a huge deal. Paige eats a blueberry waffle every morning. She also has fruit and occasionally some yogurt - but the waffle is a must. I ran up to the store to get some, and of course, was worn out from that.

Then, I took Paige to the aforementioned baby shower that afternoon. It was lovely, and the mom-to-be got some awesome things for her little boy!

All the cupcakes were taunting me, though. Gestational diabetes is really starting to suck. But I am doing everything I possibly can to keep my numbers down. And they are very low, which I know is what matters. My weight continues to fall, but it is certainly not affecting my growing stomach! I can feel it in my legs, arms, and face, though. It is hard to complain about that...I will just feel a lot better about the whole situation at my next growth scan (a week from Tuesday).

A sweet gift I got today : ) Thank you, Miranda! We love them! I love all things monogrammed - and it makes me so excited to see my precious boys' names written down! I am very pleased with our choices, and think they will be perfect.

These are little bibs. Too cute!

Okay - back to my crazy weekend. After the baby shower, Paige and I went down to Mistletoe Market. Local gals know what I am talking about...crazy shoppers running around hundreds of booths trying to find things they "need." Well I am no exception! My grandmother, Paige, and I went down before they closed at 5 and found some things we needed for the boys!

Christmas socks!!
These outfits were a little pricey - but I feel like I splurge on Paige all the time and really haven't for the boys that much.

How freaking adorable?!?
Twin boys are going to be so much fun and I can't wait for them to get here!

When we got home, it was about an hour past Paige's normal dinner time. She had a snack earlier, but was very hungry when we got home. I went back to unload a few things in my room, and came back to the kitchen to find that Paige had found something to eat! She was standing by her chair, trying to take it out of the package.

Then I saw that she had rummaged through our snack cabinet to find it! The little evil genius has learned how to take the rubberbands off the cabinets, empty them, and find delicious treats! Looks like we need a new system : )

Tomorrow is my first NST! I'm going pretty early because I only have my babysitter until 10:30. But I'll update when I get back!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and is ready for Monday!

BOOKS! Sunglasses! And Pain.

Paige and I hung in the backyard today for a while. She managed to find an old pair of my sunglasses and had a field day with them!

I emailed all these pics to David today, and he wrote back - "awww, she looks like a little blind child." haha...I think she looks adorable. But there has never been a moment in the last 17 months that I hadn't thought that : )

David has been working 24/7 lately. It is awful. He is drained. I am miserable. I count on his help. I NEED to rest after a long day of taking care of Paige. It has been a brutal few weeks. I don't feel like I let on to other people that much just how much I am struggling. I completely lost my shit (sorry - but it is true) to David on the phone last week.

He was very understanding, apologized over and over again...even though it isn't his fault. We need his job. Obviously. He sent me these beautiful flowers, and they did brighten my day. They are holding strong and still look lovely!

BOOKS!! Besides, "NO!", book is Paige's favorite word. She insists on reading books all.day.long. I was talking to my mom on the phone last night, and Paige was saying, "book! book!" But I kept talking to my mom. So Paige decided to chunk the book at my head!

We went out this morning to get some new books. We have read our current collection WAY too many times.

BOOK!!! BOOK!!
I'll take these, momma.
Yes, today included 3 outfit changes. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches top our list of favorite foods right now - but are very messy.

Big day for the Griffith girls!

It was a beautiful morning, so Paige and I decided to go down to the park in our neighborhood. The weather was perfect - 70's and a light breeze.

This girl is so brave! She used to be afraid of this tunnel. Now, I kind of wish she was because she scurries up there so fast and I don't exactly fit to chase her : /

We are lucky to have this in our neighborhood. It is a lot of fun.

Of course, nothing is quite as interesting as my iphone.

Then, we came home, had lunch, and I laid Paige down for her nap. I had a sitter come up so I could go to my OB appointment (Paige normally has school on Tuesday's, but they were closed for fall break today).

The appointment was great! My weight is a bit of an issue, seeing as I didn't gain any. However, my belly is now measuring at 38 weeks, so it is clear that boys are gaining...I'm just not. I am supposed to try snacking more often and eating as much protein as I can.

Blood sugar is great. No problems there.

fFN = negative, cervix long and closed. BP = 110/58.

Starting Monday, I have to go to the hospital 3 times a week!! Mondays are NST days (non-stress test...google it if you want info : ) ) and if either boy fails the NST - I need a BPP (biophysical profile), Tuesdays are regular appointments and growth ultrasounds, Thursdays are another NST/possible BPP. Whew. At least I know that my boys will be very well looked after these last 6 weeks!

After the appointment, I went and got my Paige bug, and we headed to another park for a playdate with Logan and Campbell!

Paige loves to wear my headbands incorrectly.

The three little ladies. I absolutely die over these precious girls. They are each so unique in their personalities. It has been a pleasure watching them grow up and change so much.

Hey - get out of my car!

Oh wait - nevermind...I'll kiss you instead!

Paige is so big on giving kisses right now! I love it!

She is also big on screaming the word, "NO!" Ahhh - life with a toddler.

31 weeks and nursery progress

We got an end table and changing table on Saturday! There is still a lot of work to do. We need a round rug, a shelve to hang on the wall to put some of our decor, and maybe a few more little decorative pieces. Also, there will be a brown ottoman in front of the rocking chair.

I love our whole color scheme. It is exactly how I wanted it. I am really happy with the way everything is coming together.

David wanted a golf theme in the room, so I found some fun golf paraphernalia while out shopping on Saturday.

I love this little round table.

I'm going to hang some of these things on some shelves on the wall. Just need to find them. Then buy them. Then hang them.

I love this little thing to put lotion, diaper cream, powder, etc. in.

Another cute thing for a shelf.

A few things to hang on the wall.

31 weeks today. While I was walking around furniture shopping on Saturday, an old man looked at me and said, "ya lookin for the hospital?" Ha - I guess I don't blame him. I look like I'm about to pop any second. We are way past the basketball stage. I am in full on beach ball mode.

These boys are so, so low. It is great that I have no heartburn or shortness of breath like I hear a lot of mom's get...but there is oh so much pressure on my lower back. I feel like they are going to fall out of me any second. I wish one of them would scoot up a bit. 6 weeks to go!

Another new development: stretch marks. I am getting them on my lower stomach. I had none with Paige. I guess it is pretty unavoidable in a twin pregnancy...but I am not pleased with this. I have already started thinking about cosmetic surgery to minimize them after I lose all my weight. David and I are planning a beach vacation for next summer. While I am very blessed and feel so proud to have had 3 kids in 19 months, I don't want my body to look like it!!
