Whew! I have been going non-stop for a few days now! And things don't seem to be quieting down anytime soon!
This past Thursday, Paige had school, and the boys and I took a walk and had a little picnic at the playground.
Then Thursday night, we went with some friends of ours to the Zac.Brown.Band concert. It was amazing. Amazing! One of my favorite bands.
Friday, I had to drive downtown to pick up my race packet, so I left the boys with the nanny, and Paige and I got a mani/pedi, grabbed some lunch, and did our errands.
We then went to a cookout with all the kids and some of our best friends. And I loved every second of rocking Braley to sleep. (we rock all 3 of our kids every single night, still!)
Saturday was a family day! Paige and David did some puzzles...
We worked in the yard a little...
Got my car cleaned...
Went to sweet Preslie's birthday party, then had another cookout with friends! I LOVE summer.
We normally switch off rocking the boys (meaning, I do Jack one night, then Braley the next, and David does the other. Luckily we have 2 rocking chairs! One in Paige's room and one in Jack's room. If you are wondering, we let Paige play on the iPad while we do this, then she gets rocked/goes to bed when the boys are down.) but I guess I did Braley 2 nights in a row! Love that curly hair.
David went to the Thunder game that night, but I had to pass because I had to be up at 4:30 for my half-marathon on Sunday morning!
My running buddy and me!
There were almost 27,000 runners there. Amazing.
My unofficial time : ) I was very happy with this, though I was hoping to finish in 2 hours or less. Those dang 4 minutes keep creeping up in my mind and I can think back to how I could have easily shaved them off! But the good news is that I don't plan on stopping and am going to keep getting faster.
Of course, David had to work when I got home, so despite having just ran over 13 miles and only gotten a few hours of sleep, I had to take care of 3 rug rats all day. But I think they knew I was tired because I went to move some laundry over and came back to the kitchen to find them like this...
Today, back to the business as usual! We went outside to play, got the water table out, and instead of grabbing the boys suits, I thought this would be much easier ; )

Hi Meghan,
I found your blog awhile ago (I think we have some of the same friends from OU) and really enjoy reading it! I used my TomTom watch for the first time during a half this weekend...except my watch didn't perform so well! I had to switch to stopwatch from GPS at mile 3 because it said I'd only run 2.3 miles. I think it was because the course had a lot of turns and I was only that far from the starting line. Have you ever had that problem before?
Hi Meghan, I've been reading your blog for awhile (I think we know some of the same people at OU) and enjoy it a lot! I ran a half this weekend too, and used my TomTom watch for the first time...only mine didn't perform very well. I had to switch from "GPS" mode to "stopwatch" mode at mile 3 because it said I'd only run 2.3 miles. I think it was because the course had a lot of turns and I was only that far from the finish line. Have you ever had similar problems with your watch? PS-Congratulations on your first half! I ran OKC last year. It's a nice course.
Yes! I learned a little trick: when you sync and it says synced, ready to run (or whatever it says) wait at least 3/4 minutes before you press start and go. I sync, then once it says ready, I stretch, get my music going, then press start and start running.
Works much better when I started that.
Good luck!
Out of curiosity...how did you find the blog?
See comment below for my Tom Tom answer. Forgot to hit reply!
Oh geez, hit reply wrong twice! See below : )
Congrats on the run girl! You should be so proud of yourself for that time!!

I have a daughter a few months younger than Paige and I found your blog when I googled "4 month wakeful period" looking for advice when my wonderful sleeper started waking up at night again. Then I realized we both went to OU.
