sunday walk

A couple little boys were not happy about taking a walk...s

But they perked up very quickly : )

That's all from me!  Hope Monday treated everyone well!

my baking buddy

We had some friends over Saturday night, and I needed to bake some cookies.  Paige loves to help me bake, and is getting pretty good at remembering how to do things!  I'll tell her we need to sift, and she grabs what we need and gets up on her stool ready to help.

Little love had to stop and have a mid-baking snack.

Such a charmed life we lead, with these 3 children.

Busy days

If I'm supposed to be getting all the life I can out of each day, then I'm doing a good job.

I started training for the memorial marathon in April.  I keep wavering back and forth on doing the half or full.  I've never run further than 13.1, so thinking about doing 26.2 is very overwhelming.  I'm just going to see how far training can take me, and go from there.

So - marathon training, a trip to the zoo with Paige...
Who I'd say is at 95%.  We didn't have a stroller, so we walked the entire zoo.  Meaning - she walked some, I carried her a lot.  I'm exhausted.

Picked boys up from school, came home, and decided to go out yet again.  This weather is perfect, and we simply had to take advantage!

For the record, I don't encourage Braley wearing beads.  But it isn't worth the fight to get him to take them off.

And I don't tell Jack, "hey, buddy!  Don't you want to play with this magic princess wand?"  But this is life with a big sister!

I die.  Die for this precious little boys.  They are so lucky to have each other.

Poor Paige.  Lost 3 pounds with her sickness.  That is a lot for an already petite little girl.  She is getting her appetite back, but still not back to what it was.  I know she will put it back on, but it is pitiful seeing all her ribs stick out and pants fall right off her.

I love our walks!  I feel like the kids learn so much on them!  We watched hot air balloons, talked about why the birds all fly together, learned what lacrosse is (a big sport in my area.  All the boys in the neighborhood are out practicing on nice days), explored the concept of big vs small (via the different dogs we encountered)...

And a huge plus of a big, exhausting day full of fun activities:  Everyone was in bed asleep by 7:15 : )
