Splash park

We were back at it again today.  Another trip for splashing fun and a picnic downtown.

Jack heard an airplane and was so excited.

Thankfully Tia made us some chocolate chip cookies : )

Sweet Logan.

Such a fun morning!  Kids are crashed out, I'm about to hop on the elliptical, and we have a Thunder game to look forward to tonight!  Not bad for a Tuesday!

Memorial weekend comes to a close

I'd like to think that we will have time to recover from this jam-packed non-stop weekend, but we are super busy this week as well.

Today, we went and stocked up on fun backyard toys, then came home and checked them out!  Success!  After naps, we went to our friends' pool.  This was the boys first real time in a swimming pool, and I wasn't sure how they would react.  Of course, Paige loved, loved, loved swimming, as we knew she would.  Jack and Braley?  Meh - they liked it, but were just as happy sitting under the patio with snacks.

Love them.

Right after we left there, we drove to the city to my parent's country club for more swimming, playground playing, and dinner.

Got home, baths, and straight to bed!

I am always thankful for my 3 miracles, and I try to always remember those still struggling to have children.  Family-oriented holidays like these really bring it to the front of my mind.  Any time I see a married couple with no kids, I can't help but wonder if they are in pain by the sight of all the happy families.  Of course, plenty of people have no kids by choice, or are waiting to try because of any number of reasons...but I still wonder.

Sunday funday

The Griffith kids think every day is a vacation...and memorial weekend 2012 is no different!

We woke up and daddy had surprised us with some McDonald's breakfast sandwiches : )

Around 9:30, Mele and Papa came and picked Paige up and took her up to my grandfather, Jack's farm.  Swimming pools, baby cows, and tinkling in the woods : ) ...what else could a 3 year old girl want?!?  My parents brought her home at around 10 PM tonight and said she hadn't slept a wink all day!  Our nanny was here - David and I went out with some friends to watch the Thunder game, and the nanny said she was practically in a daze, got her jammies on and was asleep within minutes.  Bless her heart.  But I know she had fun!

Anyway, today David and I, sans our sassy little girl, got to get some yard work done and play with our little boys!

Despite what it looks like, I do not just follow my naked children around with my camera all day.  ha!  But we are still battling the yeast rash on Jack.  It is MUCH better, but I am just very weary of putting him in a swim diaper and wet bathing suit and letting all that moisture sit in there.  So, nakey it is ; )

Memorial weekend kick-off

Memorial Day weekend is one of my favorites!  Lots of cookouts, family time, playing in the sprinklers, and trips to the swimming pool!  I can't wait to see what fun is in store for the Griffith family Memorial Weekend 2012!

Started out with some daddy snuggles...

Hopping in papa's car to play

Water table fun

And some mommy and me silly faces!

Yesterday evening, we went to eat with some friends, then over to their neighborhood playground.  Resulted in us getting home way past bedtime and I had to turn around and sing to keep this little guy from falling asleep in the car and further derailing bedtime.  But that is what summer is all about : )

This morning, we had a breakfast picnic.  There was a nice breeze and I know we don't have long before it is 100 by breakfast time, so we are enjoying it while we can!

Hope everyone has a fun/safe weekend!
