Masters shirt

We have been busy busy this week! The boys, now both full walkers/runners, are giving me a run for my money. Twin boys can get places faster than I ever imagined! And now that I'm a paranoid mom who has rushed her child to the ER for a fall - I'm even more aware of the trouble that can happen in the blink of an eye!

Anyway - David had a wonderful trip to the Masters. We were VERY happy to welcome him home, though! And like any good father/husband, he brought back goodies for his family : )

Paige is growing up to be such a beautiful girl, inside and out. Such a tender heart. I am blessed to be her mother.

And a little update on the gymboree front (not sure if I updated here or not...): we are headed up there when the boys wake up from their nap to collect a full refund. Our local chapter actually changed its' policy due to the incident. Each child must be accompanied by a parent. So they agreed to give me all my money back and we won't be attending anymore. So that's that.

Easter joy, and a little loneliness.

I am very ready for David to get home. Too bad his plane doesn't arrive until 1 AM : ( But we are still having a lovely Easter! My folks took Paige to church. I decided I didn't want to bring 16 month old twin boys, so we went and got some breakfast instead ; )

Then everyone came over for some patio playtime and a little picnic.

Now the rain clouds seem to be rolling in, so we came inside to get cleaned up. Naptime is coming shortly (thank goodness). And things will return to normal on Monday. It makes me sad to not be spending this family holiday as a family. Something is just missing when your husband is gone. But I am lucky to have my precious kids and wonderful parents with whom I can share this blessed day. And David is truly enjoying a once in a lifetime trip. If you are a Masters watcher, look behind the 12 tee box today for a familiar face ; )

Egg hunt

Even with daddy out of town (and having a blast, I understand!), we have had fun on this Easter weekend.

Yesterday, we had girlfriends and their kids over to play, then went to a little Masters weekend BBQ.

Today, we woke up and went to my parents country club for a petting zoo, egg hunt, and brunch!
Paige loved the chickens!

And Braley did not like riding the donkey.

Jack was OBSESSED with finding eggs.

He seriously loved it. Cutest thing ever.

Braley, being Braley, just wanted to be held. lol.

A few attempts at getting a photo with Mele, Papa, all 3 Griffith kids, and the easter bunny.

Getting my face painted!

Gran, Mele, and Braley

Paige requested a "blue Easter bunny, please!"

Sweet Paige and Ava (my niece).

Came home after a delicious brunch, and now everyone is resting. Thank God for my parents, they are taking Paige for me again tonight so I can just worry with the boys. I think I am going to take them up to a little burger place down the street tonight.

Hope everyone is having a nice Easter weekend!

Gymnastics Monday!

Paige loves Mondays! She gets to go to Chesapeake to play while I work out. Then after dinner, she gets to go to gymnastics! It was my day to take her (yay!) and we had a blast!

Patiently waiting her turn for the trampoline. She didn't have to wait long - there are only 2 kids in her class (including her!) this session. No waiting, lots of playing.

I think she might take after her momma and be a gymnast.

And this afternoon, we got to spend more time playing outside.

I had to constantly remind myself at gymnastics to breathe. When she climbed to the top of this rope ladder thing that has a slide on the other end, I was having some serious anxiety. She kept saying, "mommy, I can do it by myself!" These are things that I normally would have had no problem letting her climb and do alone. But I look at things totally differently now! Thankfully she never even came close to falling : )

David, the lucky guy, has been invited to attend the Master's golf tournament in Augusta, GA this weekend with his boss. Of course, he said yes. So we will be spending Easter with my parents : ) The biggest golf fan I know...so I am very excited for him.

Weekend!

I was overwhelmed with the support and prayers we got for Jack! He is 100% fine. Looking back, we don't even think he hit his head now. There was nothing on the CT and he never even got a bump. We think he fell on his back, got the wind knocked out of him, and that scared him so much he stopped breathing and passed out. I've asked several doctors what they think of this theory and they all say it makes a lot of sense and is very plausible. Either way, I am thankful this turned out to be no big deal at all. It certainly has been a wake-up call for me! I need to be more mindful of where I take the twins alone.

We ended up having a wonderful (and busy!) weekend.

Friday, we had lunch with friends, came home, and spent the whole afternoon in the backyard.

Paige's friend, Logan, was nice enough to join Paige in her time-out. I'm sure taking a photo and laughing wasn't the most effective way to discipline her, but oh well : )

Saturday, I had a baby shower for an amazing gal expecting boy/girl twins. Success after infertility is just that much sweeter, wouldn't you agree?

Sunday, I woke up and continued my training for the half marathon here in a few weeks! Yay! We are at our longest distance before the actual race.

I hopped in the shower when I got back, and David and I headed downtown to watch the Thunder throttle the Bulls. Thunder Up!

When we got home, it was some yard work and cooking for my dad's birthday party over here! My mom, brother and I have been the luckiest people to have this great man be our family's head. And now his 5 grandkids get to enjoy him. We loved celebrating his 60 years : )

Braley ate his body weight in burgers and fruit, but had plenty of room for cake! Duh!

Now is time to relax a little before taking on the new week. I am feeling very blessed these days. And very happy.
