Just got home from a fantastic weekend with my friends at Grand Lake, USA!
Us girls decided one day that we were going to make ourselves a priority (over husbands and kids) for one weekend a year, and it starts now! I can't tell you what a fantastic decision that was! We had more fun that we should have, but that is okay every now and then ; )
Our trip got to a bit of a rocky start. The turnpike was shut down because of a fire. We took advantage though, and got out of our cars and stretched our legs.
And take jello shots (those not driving!!)
Klassy.
We got in late Thursday night, and got up ready to go Friday morning! We hit the pool with plenty of jello shots and beer in tow.
We went to a few different bars, danced, drank, and sang a lot of karaoke.
Like a drunk idiot, I forgot that I am not 13 and a gymnast anymore. I was doing backflips off the boat, swimming, treading water, etc...and I woke up SORE this morning! Anyway, after the boat, we came home, showered, and went out to a nice steak dinner.
I was happy to get home to my family today. David did WONDERFULLY with the kids. The house was clean and all the kids were happy to see momma when I got home.
And now - I prepare for my surgery on Tuesday!

David and I were married in June of 2006. I am a stay-at-home mom after a long struggle with Infertility. We have been lucky on our first and second cycles of In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF)! We have a daughter, Paige Madeline, born April 23, 2009. Our twin boys, Jack David and Braley James, came on November 16, 2010.

I am so glad you have such a great time! We all need some girls only time every once and a while!
Sounds like such a fantastic weekend! Good luck with your surgery!
I came across your blog a few months ago and have enjoyed it since then. Just wanted to say that you have a beautiful family and that I am glad you are taking time to enjoy being you. I am also a mother of an almost 2 yr old boy and a set of 2-month old b/g twins. Sometimes we forget about ourselves because of the dedication we have to our children and husband. Glad you had such a great time! Maye.
Your weekend looks fabulous! Glad you had a good, much needed, girls weekend!
Good luck tomorrow
sounds fabulous! Good luck tomorrow!
I have been following your blog since Paige was a baby. My husband & I also struggled with infertility. After going through 2 IVF cycles, we were blessed with our twin daughters, Maya & Suri in December 2006. I don't know how you do it with 3 so young! You are an inspiration!
Good luck with your surgery-I'm looking forward to hearing how your recovery process goes!
I want your life.
Just wanted to let you know that I have been reading your blog for awhile and have really been enoying it! Your kids are so adorable. I myself had IVF and have a 1 year old little boy. I saw the perfect little shoes for your little boys on payless.com - you'll have to check them out when you get a chance. They are the cutest little Sooners slip-ons!
I love your blue suit. Looks great! Where is it from? Thanks. Molly
